Community Action Diversity Council
Purpose
The Community Action Diversity Council (CADC) advises and supports the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system's mission and goals by providing information to assist in the implementation of diversity initiatives. The Council provides a forum for the discussion of diversity issues and diversity-related events. The CADC's collective expertise and influence will help the system's leaders design effective tactics, measures of success and communication vehicles to increase access to and opportunites within higher education for all Minnesotans.
Charges
The council provides advice and counsel on the implementation of the diversity component of the system's action plan, an outgrowth of Designing the Future, the 2006-2010 strategic planning document.Membership
The membership of the CADC is composed of up to fifteen community leaders who have shown an interest in educational access and opportunities for all Minnesotans. The membership should reflect the demographic and geographic diversity of Minnesota. The Office of the Chancellor provides staffing to the council.
